Where To Find Las Vegas Free Shows And Attractions

So your wandering around the Las Vegas strip looking for something to do that has no admission price and is not a time share pitch well then I have some ideas for you. The great thing is that most of these are family friendly since not much else is to entertain your kids except for the hotel pool and a rubber ducky.

First off lets start with the most well known free Vegas attractions like the Bellagio Fountains which start at noon and go off every half hour till 8pm and then every 15 minutes till midnight. One of the benefits of Vegas is that you can drink alcohol on the strip so stop at a CVS and pick up a bottle of wine or beverage of choice and enjoy the fountains for and hour or so. In between shows they have music playing so it's a great place to chill.

The next big attraction is the Mirage Volcano which has been upgraded from its original show and now includes real fire bursts from under the water all set to music. Honestly as a local this show is so awesome and hot that you can feel the heat from across the street but make sure to get a front spot against the railing in the middle for the full experience. Showtimes are Sunday-Thursday 7pm & 8pm and Friday-Saturday 7pm 8pm 9pm.

The Flamingo Hotel & Casino offers the original wildlife habitat that has waterfalls, penguins, flamingos, birds, fish and more. It is located towards the back by the buffet so you will need to cut through the casino to get there. It is open from 8am till midnight and is a great place for photos but make sure you read the monument at the top of the center hill which explains the history of the Flamingo Hotel and Bugsy.

Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino has a free show called Atlantis which runs from 11am-10pm every hour on the hour and is located in the forum shops in front of the Cheese Cake Factory. There is also a huge fish tank which the kids love.

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino has free rotating circus acts performing at the center stage starting at 11:30am with a new act every hour till 10:30pm (11:30pm on Fri & Sat).

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville located in the front of The Flamingo Hotel & Casino showcases a DJ starting at 9:30pm and a band that starts at 10:30pm nightly on the back stage. It is free to get in but if you have kids with you under 21 then you would need to get a table and have dinner but if you are over 21 then make your way to the back bar next to the stage. Drinks are not required but I'm sure most will get one.

Carnival Court at Harrahs Hotel and Casino starts DJ's and Bands daily from noon till 3am and is usually free but sometimes at night depending on band they may charge $5. The outdoor venue has a crazy sound system and flair bartenders so it is a favorite for party goers.

Fremont Street Experience located downtown has bands and dj's every nite on their multiple stages from 6pm - 1am.

There are many more free entertainment choices like almost every casino lounge has a band and all the street performers on the strip so believe it or not it is all around....It will find you.
